My ratings are as follows:

♡ = I didn’t like the book, wasn’t able to finish it or if I did finish it, the book just wasn’t for me. Doesn’t mean it’s not something I’d recommend but personally I am not a fan.

♡♡ = I didn’t particular enjoy the book but felt that there were aspects that make it enjoyable for others. If I didn’t connect with the book it wouldn’t stop me from recommending it to audiences and markets that would.

♡♡♡ = I felt in the middle. I liked the book but there were issues that prevented it from being an engrossing read.

♡♡♡♡ = Really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to those I felt would like it as well.

♡♡♡♡♡ = LOVED the book! Would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Get it and read it now!

I also award half hearts for books that I feel deserve just a bit more…

My opinions are all my own and 100% honest. If personally I don’t enjoy a book it doesn’t mean I don’t think it would thrive in its target market.
